Day Farms

One of the most recent and interesting crops that we have grown are white poppies.

These are grown for Johnson Matthey and are used in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of morphine.

Planted in February or March and harvested in early summer they are a very distinctive crop. The fields of white flowers (not red) have prompted much interest and comment.
