Day Farms

We grow Sugar Beet on a contract with British Sugar.

Beet is planted in February or March and is harvested from September right through to the following February.

Altogether we currently supply around 16,000 tonnes a year to the British Sugar Factory at Newark. (This is the equivalent of approximately 3 million bags (1kg) of sugar!)

The Newark factory opens for intake in September and closes in March.
